An annual report from the University of Tennessee's Center for Business and Economic Research briefs the governor, lawmakers and the public on the condition of Tennessee's economy. The 2013 assessment came out this week, and its chief conclusions include a slow recovery for employment, positive signs for manufacturing jobs and some glimpses of brighter days to come. On February 7, its lead author, Matt Murray, talked with WUOT's All Things Considered host Brandon Hollingsworth about the report's significant findings, and clues to forecasting Tennessee's economy for the rest of the year.
