Unemployment rates for June rose in every Tennessee county.
The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development reports that all Tennessee counties saw a rise in unemployment last month: 78 counties have rates between 5 and 10% and 17 counties have rates higher than 10%.
Davidson County had the state’s lowest major metropolitan rate at 6 percent, up from 5.2% in May.
Lincoln County saw the lowest county rate, at 5.2%, up from 4.3% in May. Lincoln County had the state’s lowest rate, at 5.2%.
Knox County was 6.3%, up one percentage point from May, but the 9th lowest score in the state.
Scott County keeps the highest rate at 14.2%; that’s up from 12.5% in May.
