Officials Break Ground On Groundbreaking Clinic At Fort Campbell

http://www.ctpost.com/news/article/Charity-funded-clinic-to-help-Fort-Campbell-troops-4599227.php

A new clinic at Fort Campbell will treat what are known as the signature wounds of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan: post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury. Officials broke ground on the clinic yesterday and it’s expected to be completed in a year. The clinic will be the third of its kind (the others are at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and Camp Lejeune, North Carolina) and will work with the National Intrepid Center of Excellence in Bethesda, Maryland, to research and develop treatment for brain injuries and post-traumatic stress. The New York-based Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund plans to build nine of these centers at military installations across the US.

There are currently more than 300 soldiers in the brain injury program at Fort Campbell.
