The Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra and Chorus begins its 2017/2018 season with a concert featuring "playful" music. The program is diverse and entertaining and is sure to please.
Soprano, Alison Trainer, will perform two solos: Bernstein's "Glitter and Be Gay" from Candide and "Caro Nome" from Verdi's Rigoletto. Ms. Trainer will also be featured as soloist in Poulenc's Gloria, where the symphony will combine forces with the chorus. Also on the program is Ravel's Mother Goose Suite and a really fun work by Jonathan Bailey Holland that combines the sounds of Motown and Classical: Motor City Remix.
The concert begins at 7:30pm and will be given in the Oak Ridge High School Performing Arts Center. More information is available online at www.orcma.org
