Madeline Rogero is well known in East Tennessee, not only for being Knoxville’s City Mayor. Rogero is the first woman to hold that office and she’s the first woman elected mayor in any of Tennessee’s four largest cities (Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville and Chattanooga).
The US Embassy in Turkey recently asked Rogero to come to Turkey, to speak with politicians, political parties and women’s groups about women in politics.
