Farragut Pursues Rebranding Campaign

Farragut town officials cut the ribbon tomorrow on a Heritage Trail to take visitors on a walk through town history. But that’s just the beginning of this story. Chelsey Riemann with the town of Farragut says it's a piece of a strategic plan to bring more visitors to town -  and it’s a plan that includes rebranding the township.

We want to find out what people see Farragut as and what brings them to our area," she says, citing sample questions the rebranding campaign might address:  "We’re emphasizing our historic assets; is that important? Do people seek the town of Farragut out to visit here even if they’re just coming to Knoxville? What would bring them down to Farragut?"

Riemann says Farragut will begin accepting requests for proposals for that rebranding campaign beginning this Friday on their official website.

"We’re going to be accepting requests for proposals from any firm that is interested in putting in a proposal to do this campaign for us," she says.

"The deadline is early December and then we will be reviewing all proposals the very beginning of January, choosing the firm and then undergoing this campaign during the winter and spring months."

Riemann says Farragut is looking to capitalize on and continue the strong growth the town experienced with projects like Turkey Creek as well as position Farragut as a historic tourism location in Tennessee.
