Engaging Arabia: Erin Darby and Robert Darby

This weekend, the University of Tennessee’s Department of Religious Studies, the Arab American Club of Knoxville, and a few other groups are holding a fair on campus to celebrate Arab culture. Erin Darby teaches in the Department of Religious Studies and Robert Darby teaches in the School of Art. Each summer, the two head up an archaeological dig called ‘AynGharandal in the southern desert of Jordan, near Akaba. They’ll be hosting this weekend’s festivities and they sat down with WUOT'sChrissyKeuper to talk… 

Engaging Arabia and the Arab Cultural Fair

Chrissy served as WUOT's News Director and host of monthly public affairs talk show Dialogue from late 2021 to early 2023. Her first job with the station was as weekend student announcer while earning her bachelor's in Anthropology from the University of Tennessee. She had previously been the station's local host for NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered news programs; occasionally filled in as host for WUOT's Morning and Afternoon Concerts; and won multiple awards for her interviews, feature stories, and Dialogue.
