Dialogue: Jack Neely on Knoxville's Market Square

Since 1854, Knoxville's Market Square has been a microcosm of the growing city that surrounds it. With as diverse a history as the city itself, Market Square brought together farmers and society people, buyers, sellers, artists, musicians, immigrants and native Knoxvillians, and even Confederate and Union soldiers and sympathizers. Chrissy Keuper hosts August's Dialogue with local writer and historian Jack Neely, focusing on his book, Market Square: A History of the Most Democratic Place on Earth, available at http://utpress.org/...
