The A1 Artspace gallery in Knoxville opens a show tonight featuring a series of paintings rescued from New Orleans after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The abstract floral and landscape paintings were created by New Orleans artist Hallah John Paul Boltik. Boltik and several of his neighbors spent eleven horrifying days in the flooded streets of New Orleans before they were rescued, taken to Louis Armstrong International Airport and flown to Knoxville.
