Cicadian Rhythms

Residents of some East Tennessee communities will bid goodbye this week to some rather loud--and some say obnoxious--visitors. Three species of the 17-year cicada have spent the last month or so eating leaves, flying around, mating, and making a general racket. This week, most of these cicadas will die off.
