I-40 Shutdown

Just after midnight this morning, the Tennessee Department of Transportation completely closed down a one-mile section of I-40 just east of downtown Knoxville. It's the final and most critical phase of T-DOT's SmartFix 40 project. During the next 14 months, I-40 traffic between Hall of Fame Drive and the James White Parkway will be re-routed.
