The Tennessee General Assembly is back in session and this is already shaping up to be an interesting year. For one thing, we've got an election this year. And that always adds an extra helping of animosity and partisanship to the proceedings. And once again, we've got a politically divided legislature. The Republicans still run the Senate and the Democrats still control the House. Throw in some of the more divisive issues that always generate discussion---like abortion, immigration and education reform--- and the stage is set for a lively session.
