Prison Children

In the United States, there are more than two and a half million children with one or both parents in prison. More than eight hundred of those children live in Knox County. Jonathan Ray is one of them. Jonathan turned 14 in May. Both of his parents are in prison and Jonathan grew up living with various family members, never really feeling that he was in a stable environment. He now lives with his Aunt and primary caretaker, Rebecca Booker. He also takes part in Amachi, a mentoring program specifically for children with parents in prison.
