Exploring White Culture

Author and Social Psychologist Jeff Hitchcock says he was born white. And never gave it much thought. Until he married an African-American woman and began to look seriously at his own cultural make-up. In 1995, Hitchcock and his wife co-founded New Jersey's Center for the Study of White American Culture. He's also the Center's Executive Director. Hitchcock says social scientists have long avoided the topic of "white culture". But tells WUOT's Greg Hill it's an important area of study... Listen Now
