A recent study from the Carsey Institute at the University of New Hampshire found that soldiers from rural areas are dying at a greater rate than their counterparts from metropolitan areas. And though it's difficult to put a number on a community's loss, rural communities are taking the brunt of the loss of soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.
