This weekend, the Clarence Brown Theatre opens its production of August Wilson's Pulitizer Prize-winning play "Fences". "Fences" is one of a series of August Wilson plays that illuminates the indignity of the African American experience throughout the twentieth century. To direct the play, the Clarence Brown turned to veteran director Ron Himes of Saint Louis' Black Rep Theatre. Thirty years ago, Himes helped to found the Black Rep.
