Michael and Roselle

One of the more amazing stories from the World Trade Center disaster involves Michael Hingson, a blind man, and his yellow lab guide dog, Roselle. Hingson is on the University of Tennessee campus to speak at the Institute of Public Service. Here, he shares the tale of his 9/11 escape with WUOT's Ann Lloyd. Hingson says he and Roselle were on the 78th floor of Tower One when the first jet tore through the building. Hingson says his blindness, in this case, was no handicap... Listen Now
