Doctors in Knoxville say a young Iraqi girl is steadily improving after surgery to repair her spine. Gufran Alayass was born with a serious deformity known as spina bifida. She lived with the condition for ten years, unable to walk. But one day, her father took her to see an American soldier serving in Iraq. And her life hasn't been the same since.
