Today marks the last official day of Todd Smith's tenure as Executive Director of the Knoxville Museum of Art. He has accepted a position at the Gibbes Art Museum in Charleston, South Carolina. During his three years in Knoxville, Smith introduced several new exhibits and community outreach programs. He also slashed the museum's debt. In the meantime, the museum moved from number 22 on the Tennessee Arts Commission's list of cultural institutions into the top three.
