In Defense of Sprawl

In the U-S, the term "urban sprawl" is often used in a negative context to describe the move away from American cities into the surrounding countryside. Critics of sprawl say it's harmful to the environment, creates traffic congestion, destroys green space and long commutes into the suburbs even contribute to the disintegration of the American family.
