9 Ted Nash: The Mancini Project - The saxophonist's father and uncle played in Henry Mancini's Hollywood studio orchestras. Ted reduces the scale to a quartet but keeps the romance, at the Detroit Jazz Festival.
16 Paquito D'Rivera - Dance to clarinet master Paquito and "Paquito's Latin Side of Jazz," championing Latin American composers, with Hector Del Curto on the Argentinian bandónen, at NJPAC in Newark.
23 A Night at the Jazz Standard in New York - JoAnne Brackeen, the Ron Miles Quartet with Bill Frisell, and a taste of the Mingus Big Band at New York's top jazz club.
30 Jonathan Batiste Band at the KC Jazz Club - New Orleans prodigy and Cassandra Wilson's pianist Jonathan Batiste and his hot new big band drove through a raging February snowstorm to get to the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, and onto this JazzSet

2 Bucky Pizzarelli with guest host John Pizzarelli - Guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli is known for playing the great guitar compositions of the '30s on his seven-string guitar. He played with Benny Goodman and for many years was a member of Doc Severinson's Tonight Show Band. As part of the 30th Anniversary celebration, Bucky Pizzarelli returns to Piano Jazz with guest host John Pizzarelli -- his son and fellow guitarist. The duo plays "Tangerine" and "My Blue Heaven," with John Pizzarelli also supplying vocals.
9 The Hickory House Trio Reunion With Guest Host Bill Crow - Twenty years ago, Marian McPartland reconvened her Hickory House Trio for a special Piano Jazz session. On this week's program, guest host and bassist Bill Crow shares some tunes from that occasion, along with his recollections working alongside host McPartland and drummer Joe Morello at the Hickory House back in the 1950s. Tunes include "Skylark," "Falling in Love with Love," and "Things Ain't What They Used to Be."
16 Marian McPartland Selects: Phil Woods - Saxophonist Phil Woods is a true master of all things bop. He's been called one of the top alto players since his debut in the mid-1950s, and the musical heir to Charlie Parker.
23 Marian Selects: Hiromi Uehara - Hiromi Uehara is a brilliant young pianist from Japan by way of Berklee College of Music. She brings high-energy playing and amazing technique to an exciting mixture of musical genres. On this 2004 session, she demonstrates her original approach and complex ideas with her own frenetic tune, "The Tom and Jerry Show," inspired by the famous cartoon.
30 Carol Welsman With Guest Host Jon Weber - Carol Welsman is a dynamic singer, pianist, and arranger who has a won a closetful of awards in her native Canada. She swings on Latin grooves and her own arrangements, singing in Spanish, Italian, French and Portuguese with flawless pronunciation. She joins guest host Jon Weber for a set including the Peggy Lee tune "I Like Men," and "One Note Samba."
