Trillium members are: Alison Maerker Garner, violinist; Alicia Randisi-Hooker, cellist; and Robert Bonham

The Division of Fine Arts of Maryville College will present Trillium and Friends at 7 p.m. on Sat., March 3 in the Harold and Jean Lambert Recital Hall of the Clayton Center for the Arts. The event is free and open to the public. The first half of the program will be a collaboration with soprano and MC alumna April Martin. She will sing Leonard Bernstein's "Simple Song" from his Mass; "Yes" from In Sleep the World is Yours by Lori Laitman; and selections from Voices from the Village by Jon Jeffrey Grier. "Yes" will be accompanied by oboe (Marina Jeffe) and piano. After an intermission, Martin will sing Franz Schubert's song "Die Forelle" (The Trout), which will introduce a performance of Schubert's "Trout Quintet" for piano, violin, viola, cello and bass. Also performing with Trillium are Shelley Armer and Dan Thompson. Composer Grier will attend the performance of his songs, which will be accompanied by piano trio.
